We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Vertical Video Intern to support conceptualizing, creating and editing compelling vertical video content to drive engagement and conversation across TikTok, Instagram Reels, Snapchat, and YouTube Shorts as well as within the Suns-Mercury-PHX Arena mobile app. This role is heavily focused on content on our PHX Off-Court Instagram page, as well as our Scorch & The Gorilla TikTok accounts.
What You Will Do:
• Previous internship or 1 years of personal video work in the vertical content space, specifically
editing with Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Professional experience working with brand accounts, sports or entertainment social media,
creating and curating content to be distributed across social video apps such as TikTok, Snapchat
and IG Reels
• Knowledgeable and passionate about basketball, entertainment, and pop culture content and
storylines
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-based, ever-changing environment while remaining
organized and detail-oriented
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Currently in college or recently graduated with a degree in Communications, Video Production or related field of study
What We Need From Our Vertical Content Intern:
• Ideate, produce and edit vertical video content for PHX Off-Court, The Gorilla and Scorch TikTok, accounts, as well as game-specific support with IG Reels, Snapchat, and YouTube Shorts
• Monitor trends across social and brainstorm ways in which our brands can react in real-time
• Shoot and edit phone content in real time at Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and PHX Arena
events
• Review data and performance around vertical video content weekly
• Cultivate a positive team dynamic and work collaboratively with all levels
• Keep current with NBA and WNBA programming, storylines, talent, brands, and products.
• Available during event hours, which will include evenings and weekend
Experience/ Education Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous internship or 1 years of personal video work in the vertical content space, specifically editing with Adobe Premiere Pro or mobile-first platforms like CapCut.
• Currently in college, graduate school or recently graduated with a degree in Video Production or related field of study

• Ability to transit throughout the arena for long periods of time.
• This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather is <5%
• S-Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
• Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in-person.
• Ability to Read, Write & Speak in English
