Intern - Suns Database Engineering

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

What We Need From the Database Engineering Intern, Basketball Strategy & Research:
• Ingestion and aggregation of data (ETL process)
• Documentation
• Exploration of basketball concepts including the salary cap
• Software deployment and version control
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Collaboration with others on a developing codebase

What Skills We Need the Database Engineering Intern, Basketball Strategy & Research to Have:
• Expertise in one programming language required; Python highly preferred
• SQL – querying, stored procedures, table creation and alteration
• Familiarity with data extraction / transformation / load (ETL) process
• Version control software (git)
• Application deployment – automation
• Cloud database experience (highly preferred)
• AWS suite of services (specifically SQS, SNS, Lambda and S3) (preferred)
• Backend web framework experience (preferred)

Experience Required
• Graduated from, or currently enrolled in, a graduate or undergraduate Computer Science or related program

Education

Preferred
• Masters or better in Computer Science or related field
• Bachelors or better in Computer Science or related field
