We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Communications Intern to assist with the development and execution of public relations strategies and media relations for the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Valley Suns and Footprint Center. This role will focus on business communication efforts and is a seasonal position for the 2024-25 NBA season.
What You Will Do:
• Assist with media monitoring and compiling coverage recap reports
• Write press releases and media advisories
• Draft media and event briefs
• Create and update department media lists
• Provide on-site support at media events and press conferences as needed
What We Need From Our Communications Intern:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-driven individual who works well in a team environment
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and related computer skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes while managing multiple tasks
Experience/ Education Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with a focus in Communication, Business Administration or a related field.

• Ability to transit throughout the arena for long periods of time.
• This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather is <5%
• S-Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
• Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in-person.
• Ability to Read, Write & Speak in English
