Full Time Job
Job Purpose
As an entry-level member of the Human Resources team, you assist all areas of the human resources function including, benefits, employee relations and special projects with a primary focus on recruitment. As the first point of contact for employees and external guests, you will also provide a high level of service by assisting in the smooth, orderly and efficient flow of information as needed.
• Primary (Essential) Duties
• Assists in hiring process by coordinating job posting on various websites, reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates electronically or in person.
• Process all administrative aspects of recruiting and onboarding to include distributing and reviewing employment applications, background/drug test screening, and new hire paperwork.
• Process employee transactions using the Ultimate software system.
• Scan and upload new hire paperwork and other documents to employee's electronic files.
• Provide administrative support for HR team to include but not limited to: answering phone, filing, scheduling meetings/conferences rooms, mail sorting, ordering supplies and maintaining department records.
• Respond to unemployment and Cobra claims and other related requests for information
• Verify I-9 documentation and assist with records retention.
• Answer general questions regarding HR policies, procedures and events
• Assist with other special projects and task as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills , Abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to comfortably and effectively interact with all levels of management and staff as well as outside clients and vendors
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Understand confidentiality principles and basic business relationships
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Bilingual/Spanish strongly preferred
Experience/Education Requirements
• Related Bachelor's degree
• A Minimum of 1-2 years HR administrative or related experience preferred
• Project coordination experience and events coordination experience
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
• Traditional business hours with some overtime to meet operational needs
