POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Social Media & Fan Engagement is a full-time position, that reports to the General Manager, Clearwater Threshers. This position is tasked with the creation and growth of digital and social media platforms/campaigns. Secondary duties include producing content for team publications, audio and video productions, and managing the Phun team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for managing Threshers and BayCare Ballpark social media accounts
• Further develop, own, and manage the ''voice'' of the Threshers across all social platforms, monitoring accounts on an ongoing basis and engaging in real-time customer service
• Manage and execute content calendar for all social channels, initiatives, and events
• Utilize social media tracking tools to produce weekly reports that evaluate the performance and effectiveness of campaigns, providing educated recommendations based on these results
• Support the advertising sales team in the planning and coordination of sponsored partner initiatives and activations
• Oversee strategy for such content including in-game coverage, team news & info, mascot, and community initiatives, among others
• Monitor and track Threshers-related activity across all relevant social media platforms
• Work closely with the General Manager to facilitate the growth of digital and social media initiatives
• Assist with executing paid digital marketing efforts
• Collaborate with MLB PDL and internal departments on digital and social media campaigns
• Strategize with internal content & creative teams to develop engaging social media content from concept to execution
• Contribute creative ideas for different executions of in-game elements
• Assist with planning and execution of entertainment for theme nights and promotional events
• Help in executing game-day in-game promotions
• Emcee on-field promotions that provide an entertaining and family-friendly environment
• Write and host promotional video content
• Hire, schedule and manage the Phun Team
• Develop and execute pocket schedule distribution plan
• Assist in writing & producing both internal and external presentation materials
• Edit and produce content for publications and website
• Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related background
• 2-3 years of social media and digital marketing experience in a professional setting
• Strong desire to stay up to date with current social media/digital advertising trends
• Effective communicator across multiple departments
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus
• Basic graphic design experience (Photoshop/Illustrator)
• In-depth understanding of the game of baseball
• Ability to work all Phillies Spring Training and Threshers home games plus special events
• Ability to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Extensive knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat
• Must be detail-oriented
• Ability to conceptualize unique content ideas and follow through to implementation
