Title: Social Media Video Producer
Department: Video Services
Reports to: Video Production Manager
Status: Regular Full-Time
Position Overview
The Phillies are looking for a video producer/cinematographer/editor with experience creating various types of media for posting across web and social platforms. This person should have a very strong knowledge base of video production and technical skills including cinematic shooting, editing and motion graphics design, with a focus on storytelling. This role requires the person to be able to work independently while collaborating with The Phillies Content Team.
The person in this position has extensive knowledge of the digital landscape and can create and produce highly engaging and professional video content across multiple channels and platforms. This role requires flexibility, building collaboration across multiple departments, and the ability to give and take constructive criticism with professionalism and openness.
Responsibilities
• Produce innovative video, images, and GIFs for use across social media platforms
• Assist content team with establishing the standard for a digital video brand/campaign and maintaining it
• Ideate, write, shoot, and edit short-form content with emphasis on creativity that can be leveraged across multiple platforms
• Help design and implement graphics for social platforms with minimal turnaround time
• Partner with overall content team to brainstorm topical, original content that fits within the brand and social media strategy
• Assist content team in best leveraging live, game-related video content
• Communicate creative ideas within a collaborative environment including pitching concepts for original digital features and video series
• Create original and eye-catching content that eschews tradition and raises the profile of The Phillies brand
• Optimize content for best performance on social platforms – YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Instagram Story, IGTV & Tik Tok
• Constantly develop skills and explore new creative techniques to accommodate the ever-changing social media landscape
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Film, Video Production and at least 4 years of professional experience shooting and editing video, and operating sound, lighting and editing equipment including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices and proficiency working in social platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Instagram Story, IGTV, & Tik Tok
• Comprehensive knowledge of digital landscape and trends as it pertains to content marketing
• Advanced knowledge of current post-production techniques
• Demonstrated technical production skills and project management capability in order to guide the video production process from concept through final delivery
• Experience in file compression and graphics manipulation
• Demonstrated ability to tell compelling stories and influence behavior/decision making through video
• Understanding of emerging technologies in video production
• Demonstrated ability to plan and perform video post-production tasks including reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, video transcoding, transcribing, rough cuts, audio adjustment and color correction
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, creatively solve problems and manage multiple projects
• Evidence of strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must have transportation and be willing to travel to events outside the ballpark
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• General baseball knowledge a must
Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced creative and technical capabilities in compositing visual effects using motion
• Highly experienced in taking creative ideas and translating them to visual presentations
• Highly experienced in shooting with HD and/or 4K professional equipment
• Advanced knowledge of non-linear software including Adobe Premiere Pro
• Advanced knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of video formats, codecs, transcoding
• Experience with social media/marketing campaign development and execution
• Experience producing virtual and augmented reality projects
• Experience with illustration, 3D motion graphics, graphic design, animation
• Experience in 360 photo and video filming and editing
