POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Corporate Partnerships will focus on developing and securing new business to achieve annual team revenue goals – including outreach, negotiation, and renewal for the Philadelphia Phillies. This role offers exciting opportunities for impact in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Qualified candidates will understand the marketing goals and objectives of prospective Phillies partners, including local, national, international brands. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated solution providers with a demonstrated ability to sell and activate marketing partnerships for brands. This position is ultra-responsive and corporate-client focused while maintaining the Phillies brand guidelines.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Present, negotiate, and sell sponsorships to new partners
• Achieve/Exceed individual and department sales goals and budget by developing new Phillies partners
• Collaborate cross-functionally with all departments to create comprehensive packages for sponsors, while ensuring a high level of internal communication relative to sales activities and internal approvals
• Oversee execution of sold partnerships to ensure delivery of agreed-upon sponsorship assets
• Attend games and other events to support the execution of partnerships and establish and grow personal relationships with team partners
• Special projects/other duties as assigned
KEY METRICS TO EVALUATE PERFORMANCE:
• Annual new business revenue generated
• Client satisfaction and retention rates
• Innovation and creativity incorporated into partnership contracts
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• Minimum of 5 years of successful sales and business development experience for a sports or entertainment company
• Strong sales acumen and proven prospecting and selling skills
• Existing relationships with brands and agencies currently investing in sports marketing
• Ability to create and negotiate customized sponsorship proposals
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
• Ability to manage multiple tasks against deadlines in a fast-paced business environment
