About the Internship
Phase One Network is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Music Intellectual Property Asset Management team for the Fall 2025 semester. This internship is unpaid and designed for current undergraduate or graduate students who are eligible to receive school credit. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience in music IP, particularly in the areas of licensing, rights management, publishing, and copyrights.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct research to identify rights holders for music publishing and master recordings.
• Assist in preparing and tracking music clearance requests and license agreements.
• Support catalog management by helping to organize metadata, cue sheets, rights information, and DISCO.
• Review and verify songwriter/publisher splits
• Sit in on team meetings and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
• Participate in special projects related to catalog development, music placements for syncs and copyright registration.
Who You Are
• A current college student or enrolled in a graduate program, eligible for internship credit.
• Interested in the business of music, intellectual property, or entertainment law.
• Extremely detail-oriented and proactive with a strong sense of accountability.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a professional environment.
• Strong written communication and research skills.
• Comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets and learning new tools such as DISCO
• Previous experience or coursework in music business or rights/licensing is a plus, but not required.
