PETROL, a leading full-service advertising agency specializing in progressive marketing for some of the biggest brands in tech, sports, and video gaming-among many more-is seeking an Account Coordinator. With dedicated departments for print services, motion graphics, AV, social media, interactive/digital, as well as media planning & buying, we regularly develop fully integrated global marketing campaigns for some major brands across genres.
Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will manage projects though use of appropriate resources and processes; this person will be strongly versed in traditional ad agency workflow steps from creative development through production. This position is a balance of relationship building, technical knowledge and common sense. The ability to motivate, collaborate and communicate is key. This candidate will help develop schedules for projects that balance agency and client needs; this person will also need to regularly consult with all key team members (ranging from senior account team to senior-level executives) on project status updates and client feedback.
It is imperative that this person maintain a clear and reasonable vision of both immediate needs and big-picture considerations during meetings, conversations or whenever the parameters of a project change. This person must be proactive in managing all the details throughout the project, to ensure that all action-items are accomplished on a timely and accurate basis. This person must maintain a clear understanding of the overarching creative strategy on all assigned projects, in the context of many concurrent initiatives that the agency will be working on simultaneously for the client. Must be able to deliver instructions in a clear and concise manner, providing proper materials and documentation when necessary.
Responsibilities:
This person will be interfacing with the CCO and Creative Directors on a daily basis; strongly developed communication skills will be key
Multiple times daily, this person must update shifting internal deadlines as well as the associated cost assumptions
This person will hold regular, daily meetings across various departments; consistently scheduling and running efficient meetings with art direction, illustration, AV and executive teams-this open communication is imperative to our success
This person must have an extremely high attention to detail in monitoring both internal and client costs; effectively tracking time & resources allocated will be key
This person must have extremely strong writing and grammar skills-an integral part of this job will be proofing work going to the client
Responsibilities
Keep track of status on all projects and communicate daily updates with internal teams.
Communicate with clients to take clear, concise notes, and relay them back. accurately to the internal creative, media, and strategy teams.
Create, update and maintain daily internal and external client project schedules.
Download and keep track of files, assets and deliveries.
Assist on estimates, proposals and proofread documents.
Send and deliver files to clients as needed.
Conduct and compile project research when needed.
Assist in managing client projects and client relationships.
Answer phones, emails, coordinate photo and/or film shoots and run errands as needed.
Must be willing to take on responsibility and be accountable for it.
Qualifications
Must have at least 2 years of ad agency experience in an account services role.
Must have a BA/BS degree from a 4 year college, preferably with an emphasis in marketing or business management.
Video game industry experience and passion for playing video games is a plus. Must be able to stay up-to-date with industry standards, news, and trends.
Must have general knowledge of the advertising process on a creative and strategic level.
Must have basic understandings of the graphic design process and familiarity with Adobe creative suite. Print, packaging, and out-of-home experience is a plus.
Sufficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc) is required.
Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to prioritize and jump from task to task while coordinating with those around you.
Must have strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to contribute on multiple projects at once.
Must be detail oriented, resourceful and have the ability to follow directions.
Must be willing to work extended hours in order to meet deadlines.
Organized, self-motivated, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
All Final candidates MUST complete and pass a background check which includes a MVR (motor vehicle check)
While performing the duties of this job, you'll be frequently be sitting at and using a computer and phone. You might occasionally need to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 10 pounds.
