Persona PR is seeking a full-time Account Coordinator to join our busy New York City office.
This is an exciting opportunity for an assistant or coordinator looking to grow their career at a fast-paced entertainment PR agency representing award-winning talent, filmmakers, authors, digital creators, brands, and executives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, thrives under pressure, and has a passion for entertainment, media, and storytelling. This is a hybrid position requiring two days per week in our NYC office, with the remaining workdays remote.
Position Summary: Account Coordinators plays a vital role in the day-to-day execution of client campaigns, serving as a key liaison between clients, media, and internal teams. This position supports all aspects of talent publicity, from media outreach and event coordination to client logistics and press opportunities while continuing to develop strategic thinking, pitching skills, and industry relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Secure media placements through proactive pitching and follow-up.
• Coordinate client schedules, interviews, travel, and publicity logistics.
• Serve as a primary point of contact between clients, media, managers, agents, and internal team members.
• Draft pitches, press materials, media alerts, and other publicity assets.
• Assist in managing and delegating projects to interns and assistants, when applicable.
• Execute press opportunities, award submissions, premieres, screenings, and special events.
• Provide on-site support for clients at press junkets, interviews, premieres, festivals, red carpets, and other industry events.
• Coordinate editorial shoots, media opportunities, partnerships, and promotional activations.
• Monitor media coverage and compile client reports.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, producers, editors, bookers, and industry contacts.
• Manage multiple clients and deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in talent publicity is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, resourceful, and solutions-oriented.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with Muck Rack, Cision, CoverageBook, and industry databases is a plus.
• Passion for entertainment, media, and pop culture.
Schedule:
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM.
• Flexible start and end times may be accommodated based on client coverage and personal commitments.
• This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel with clients when necessary.
Applicants must have a minimum of one year of talent publicity experience. Candidates without previous talent publicity experience will not be considered. Candidates must currently reside in the New York City metropolitan area and be able to work from our NYC office two days per week as part of our hybrid work schedule. Applicants not currently located in NYC, will not be considered.
Salary/Benefits
$60,000 - $65,000 /year USD
