Summer Intern - Sports Management

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Are you an enthusiastic individual eager to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of professional baseball? Interns will gain invaluable insight into the day-to-day business of sports management and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with all aspects of game day operations, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for fans.
• Support promotional activities and fan engagement initiatives during home games.
• Help with setup and breakdown of game day facilities, including merchandise, ticketing, and general event areas.
• Provide excellent customer service to fans, assisting with inquiries and enhancing their overall experience.
• Support administrative tasks as needed, including data entry, inventory management, and office organization.
• Collaborate with team staff to execute special events and community outreach programs.
• Learn about various facets of sports business, including marketing, sales, and operations.

Qualifications:
• Strong interest in sports, particularly baseball, and the sports entertainment industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during game days.
• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Season Details & Compensation:
• This is an unpaid internship, offering valuable hands-on experience and networking opportunities within the sports industry.
• The operational period for this program is during the 2027 season, typically from late May to late July.
• Position is based in San Rafael, California.
• Interns may be eligible for academic credit, depending on their institution's requirements.
