The company was previously operated as a Joint Venture known as Oriental DreamWorks, which co-produced the first American-Chinese animated co-production KUNG FU PANDA 3, which generated more than $500M in Worldwide Box Office revenues and was one of the most successful animated films ever released in China.
Job Profile
Position: Executive Assistant to Chief Creative Officer / Office Manager
Report to: Chief Creative Officer (CCO), Pearl Studio
Location: New York City
Main Responsibilities
• Provide complete day to day administrative support to CCO
• Receive, screen and prioritize all communications to CCO
• Make appointments and manage and administrate CCO's daily schedule
• Make all travel arrangements for CCO
• Serve as liaison between NY office and Shanghai office, LA office, and other Pearl offices & productions
• Produce and review expense reports, payment requests, research reports, presentations, and other miscellaneous documents as needed
• Coordinate and manage all administrative and office needs of the Pearl NY Offices, including
purchasing supplies, IT support liaison, landlord liaison, etc.
• Support any and all Creative Department initiatives and events, including the Pearl Brain Trust, Pearl Magic Hour, Holiday mailings and giftings, Company offsites, etc.
• Attend to CCO's personal matters as requested.
Competencies and Qualifications Desired
• At least 2 years of relevant office management and/or assistant level experience.
• Pro-active about independent problem solving. Able to run with tasks and see them through to completion.
• Multi-tasking is essential. A quick thinker who is able to juggle many things at once
• Meticulous, conscientious and obsessed with details and doing what it takes for the highest level work
• Entrepreneurial spirit. Able and open to take on whatever is needed in any given day.
• Position is based in NYC, but part of a global company that is headquartered in Shanghai, with productions based in LA. On-site working hours are 10 am to 7 pm, but will need to be reachable via text and email after hours on a regular on-going basis.
• Quick responder to emails and instant messages - the culture of the company is fast and constant communication.
• Believes it's important to deliver high quality work at all times. When it comes to your work, you will happily go the extra mile to make it great.
• Positive energy person that approaches work with optimism and good cheer.
• Passion for and/or background in film development (particularly animation!) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Mandarin a big plus!
