POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role will report to the SVP US Operations & Site Reliability and have regular interface with Senior Executive leadership (SVP/EVP/C-level) within Direct to Customer, Security, Comcast Corporate Audit, Corp Business Continuity, Corp. Procurement, NBC Universal Engineering Ops, SKY Platform Operations, and SKY Product Development.
This role will be responsible for delivering customer and business value by partnering and collaborating with leaders to shape the technology services process and standards to reduce operating costs, reduce security risks, improve operational efficiency, and to ensure reliability. This role will also be critically focused on mentoring and developing a high performing team of technology leaders at all levels, including personal and technology strategy leadership development.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The VP will be responsible for all process and standards design and implementation as well as continuous improvements across the following functional areas:
APPLICATION VUNERABILITY MANAGEMENT:
• Develop strategy, process and implementation plan for operationalizing Cyber Security policies.
• Lead continuous audit/monitor and work with respective teams to remediate non-compliance.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security to ensure new policies or risks are implemented/addressed in a timely fashion.
• Lead continuous process improvement initiatives with cross functional stakeholders to proactively problem solve.
INCIDENT/PROBLEM:
• Set enterprise wide standards regarding incident severity classification.
• Manage cross enterprise Sev1 postmortem reporting.
• Lead data collection and dashboarding for success metrics related to incident resolution.
• Lead tracking of after-action resolution implementation.
• Lead continuous process improvement initiatives with cross functional stakeholders to proactively problem solve.
CHANGE MANAGEMENT:
• Develop technical change management process standards across respective teams within Peacock DTC and Sky.
• Manage end to end change process.
• Develop data collection and dash boarding for success metrics change.
• Lead continuous process improvement initiatives with cross functional stakeholders to proactively problem solve.
CRITICAL EVENT COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT:
• Develop integrated strategy, process and playbook for communication of critical operational events.
• Lead critical operational event communications operations.
• Lead continuous process improvement initiatives with cross functional stakeholders to proactively problem solve.
BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT:
• Develop integrated strategy, process and playbook for disaster recovery/business continuity across all the Direct to Customer organization.
• Build org and acquire talent to support this new function.
• Lead continuous process improvement initiatives with cross functional stakeholders to proactively problem solve.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
• 15 years related experience.
• 5 -10 years of experience in telecommunications management and leadership roles.
