Responsibilities
The Streaming Video Operations Training Specialist at NBC Universal (NBCU) will work within the Digital Network Operations Center (DNOC) department in Stamford, CT. The role will oversee the effectiveness of training and process resources for the DNOC that are focused on streaming live video, VOD, and linear distribution/monitoring across a diverse application portfolio. This includes but is not limited to development and execution of a quality assurance program, associated reporting, training material. The ideal candidate will have experience working with operations teams in this space and is comfortable working in partnership with operators and leadership personnel on continued improvements. The role reports to the Director, Streaming Video Services.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
• Assist with developing and launching a quality assurance program and support ongoing assessments
• Make recommendations on process improvements using a data-driven approach to inform training needs
• Create/update runbooks for all workflows/processes and ensure ongoing audit to keep material current
• Assist with training curation and tracking leveraging all channels (virtual, documented, in-person)
• Work with leadership to identify procedural and training opportunities and continually assess competencies
• Document BC/DR and failover plans and work with leadership to update plans as needed
• Own and manage strong working relationships across the organization
• Additional responsibilities assigned based on business need
Qualifications
/Requirements
â- 2 years' experience in Operations and/or related work experience
â- 2 years' experience in a quality assurance, training, and/or process effectiveness role
â- 2 years' experience managing process flows and ensuring high-quality standards through continued QA
â- Expertise in learning management systems or tools such as Confluence, Inkling, Camtasia, etc.
â- General understanding of linear and digital video production workflows and/or related work experience
â- Highly organized and able to track multiple deliverables across projects and resources
â- Flexible schedule to support at 24/7 operations team and including nights, weekends, and holidays
