Role Overview
The Director, Strategic Development works closely with the President of Peacock and EVP, Partnerships & Strategic Development, providing strategic support on special projects and aiding in the management of day-to-day affairs involved in running Peacock's business.
This critical role has three primary responsibilities:
• Management of operations and communications for the President of Peacock:
• Work closely with the President to drive impact and execute on strategic priorities
• Synthesize and prioritize key information for the President
• Communicate on behalf of the President with internal and external parties; support in drafting communications and presentations for the President (e.g. memos and presentations); closely collaborate with the Corporate Communications team when necessary
• Provide support on DTC and Peacock-related information sharing and requests (i.e. board prep)
• Coordinate with the President's Executive Assistant to ensure the President's schedule is effectively managed to prioritize key activities
• Cross-functional project management and coordination of strategic priorities:
• Work closely with the President and Peacock Partnerships & Development team to manage the execution of high priority strategic projects; help establish and track key deliverables at the Business Leader level
• Represent the President's perspectives and priorities across key company initiatives by serving as proxy with Business Leads, if/when needed
• Prioritize and track sensitive or urgent projects as required by the President
• Support of strategic development and new growth initiatives:
• Work closely with the President and Partnerships and Development team in helping to establish and roadmap Peacock strategic priorities
• Collaborate with the Partnerships & Development team to identify and pursue “white space†areas of the business; ideate and problem-solve initiatives to help Peacock reach its OKRs and financial targets; provide support on analysis of new business opportunities, investments, and partnerships
• Independently identify and pursue opportunities for innovation across the business
Qualifications/Requirements
â- 8 years of professional experience with 5 years of pre/post-graduate work experience at a management consulting firm, investment bank or related strategy team
â- Undergraduate degree required
â- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
â- Demonstrated business acumen with well-developed planning and analytical skills
â- A nimble thinker with the ability to think out-of-the-box and problem solve
â- Ability to travel occasionally to support off-site events, both domestic and international
â- Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and a global perspective
â- Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
â- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVID-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
