Communications Coordinator, Peacock
The Publicity Coordinator is responsible for assisting the WC Peacock Originals Communications team with daily administrative and operational responsibilities. This position will report to the West Coast Senior Vice President of Communications and will support the WC publicity team.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Support administrative needs of the WC publicity team (answer phones, coordinate calendars, book travel, manage billing and expenses, facilities/IT requests, assist with meeting prep)
• Responsible for daily press clip reports; regularly monitoring major papers, trades and online outlets for relevant Peacock originals and films news as well as NBCUniversal and industry stories. Additionally, monitoring for relevant industry breaking news and sharing with the team in real-time.
• Maintain status reports, create tune-in alerts for key press bookings and distribute to series distribution list
• Support publicity team by being responsible for talent itineraries as well as coordinating and booking travel for talent press trips.
• Manage and track invoices from events, mailers, talent appearances in overall publicity budget.
• Support team with logistics and coordination of junkets, events, festivals.
• Write story pitches and talking points for interviews and industry events
• Distribute press releases via Cision and Muckrack
• Create and maintain journalist press lists as well as keep contact information up-to-date
• Manage company-wide editorial lists calendar
• Maintain executive bios and fact sheets
Maintain department and general communications team contact lists
Qualifications
/Requirements
• Minimum 1-year of professional experience, preferably in a media and entertainment company
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Able to discreetly handle highly confidential and sensitive information
• Willing to work unanticipated overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Desired Characteristics
• Past work experience in communications or entertainment industry is preferred
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a professional attitude
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
• Superior organizational skills
