Intent to hire Props master doubling as set decorator for feature film A locally based individual living within 50 miles or less from the St. Louis Missouri metropolitan area will be hired after interviews conducted with another Props master/set decorator candidate. The Props master doubling, as set decorator, will creatively interpret the script's set requirements, and break down each scene for specific details about the settings. This includes furniture, props, lighting schemes for black and white film. For the prop side of the film the master will be responsible for cataloging and maintaining props during production with a specific scene number via a separate document. The Props master doubling as set decorator will be available for rehearsals in Missouri from March 10th through March 18th and Principal Photography from March 25th - Through April 22nd. The Props master doubling as set decorator, after being hired, will work closely with the director, AD, producer, to create a prop and set decoration plan based upon the production schedule and locations for presentation to the department heads. All the authenticity and accuracy of props for the film need to be cataloged and cleared by renting or finding low - cost creative ideas for purchase or product placement deals given to renters as on- screen credit in exchange for fulfillment and use in the film. As Props master doubling as set decorator, there will also be an understanding that up to half of the sets and scenes will not require the creative services or abilities for this role. During pre-production, then leading up to principal photography, the Props master doubling as set decorator will ensure proper communication and responses to emails and updates to key milestone achievements. A full expectation, in this critical role, is to collaborate with the director and production designer to ensure my interpretation aligns with their vision.
