Overview
Reporting to the VP, Talent and Casting & Senior Director, Talent and Casting, the Coordinator, Talent & Casting is a highly organized, initiative-taking assistant who supports senior casting executives across a high volume of active scripted series. This role requires remarkable attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage confidential information while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. In addition to executive support, this position serves as the administrative lead for department-wide talent initiatives. This requires end-to-end logistical planning, tracking, reporting, and cross-functional coordination with internal departments and external partners. This role is ideal for someone who anticipates issues before they arise.
Responsibilities
• Advanced scheduling, calendar management and meeting preparation
• End-to-end logistical planning for department talent initiatives
• Maintain and update casting databases, talent lists, and additional internal tracking documents
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners i.e. talent agencies, managers, casting offices, and vendors
• Support and collaborate with casting department during brainstorming sessions
• Encouraged to scout for new talent (showcases, theater, TV, and film) on a regular basis and report back on findings
Basic Qualifications
• 3 years of administrative experience within either a production or talent department
• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in related environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Knowledge of casting software tools, such as Breakdown Express
Additional Qualifications
• Social media savvy
• Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
• Knowledge of the current programming/TV landscape
