The Information Security department partners with multiple business units to safeguard Paramount's users, resources, and intellectual property through proactive monitoring and protection measures. Within this department, the Cloud Security team is dedicated to maintaining the security posture of cloud environments. This team works closely with business stakeholders and other security functions to minimize the organization's attack surface.
• Assist in identifying, triaging, and remediating security issues across AWS, GCP, Azure, and OCI resources (e.g., misconfigurations, excessive permissions, insecure network paths).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and asset owners to drive remediation, ensuring you understand the issue and recommended fix before reaching out.
• Use internal resources and vendor documentation to independently learn and execute tasks; escalate only when necessary.
• Support day-to-day administration of security platforms (e.g., onboarding users, adjusting roles/permissions, validating access changes).
• Contribute to cloud posture management initiatives by validating findings, tracking remediation, and documenting lessons learned.
• Help create or refine SOPs, checklists, and knowledge articles to improve repeatability and reduce time-to-remediation.
• Participate in metrics and reporting, summarizing remediation progress and outstanding risks for the Cloud Security team.
Core Competencies
• Learning agility & urgency: Quickly absorbs new concepts using internal resources and vendor documentation; treats remediation timelines with urgency.
• Professional communication: Writes concise, respectful outreach to asset and application owners; validates understanding of issues before contacting them.
• Detail orientation: Ensures accuracy when adjusting access controls, roles, and permissions.
• Collaboration: Works effectively with business stakeholders and other InfoSec teams to reduce attack surface.
• Ownership & accountability: Tracks findings to closure, follows through on commitments, and surfaces blockers early.
• Independent, self-starter: Can structure the day's work without explicit direction; proactively seeks information and drives tasks to completion once comfortable and trained.
Qualifications
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI) through coursework, labs, or personal projects.
• Basic understanding of IAM principles (least privilege, role-based access control), network security (VPC/VNet, security groups/NSGs), and configuration management.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, Slack/Teams).
• Interest in learning security tooling (CSPM, vulnerability scanners, SIEM) and scripting (Python/Shell) is a plus.
