Overview and Responsibilities:
Paramount Technology is looking for a Senior Engineer, Broadcast Facilities to join our team in a pivotal role that blends hands-on technical expertise with strategic impact. In this role, you will own the design and deployment of next-generation media processing and distribution systems that power Paramount’s global content delivery. From concept to commissioning, you’ll take ownership of high-visibility projects that support both traditional broadcast and IP-based workflows, as well as collaborate with multi-functional teams to build scalable, future-ready infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of our audiences and partners.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates Key Technical Expertise to implement critical Capital projects and meet the needs of Operations and technical support teams.
• Responsible for detailed design, installation, commissioning, documentation and handoff of media processing/delivery systems
• Partners with and integrates across other areas of ViacomCBS Tech, working with other areas, resolving conflicts and managing competing priorities, to provide a complete solution.
• Transforms ViacomCBS business objectives and strategic concepts into executable plans and designs for the satellite and terrestrial distribution portfolios.
Basic Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of baseband HD/SD video systems, SMPTE ST 2110 workflows, transport stream distribution, in-band and out-of-band metadata handling, and advanced IP networking for media contribution and distribution.
• Experience in the detailed design, build, and commissioning of technical systems supporting IP-based linear broadcast workflows, including SMPTE ST 2110 media transport, video/audio encoding, networked media infrastructure, and real-time content delivery over fiber and IP networks.
• 8 years of relevant work experience along with a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
Additional Qualifications
• Certifications from preferred vendors such as Evertz, GVG, Ateme, Microsoft Etc.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $110,000.00 - 150,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
