This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining the entire lifecycle of inventory, contracts, and purchase orders of both Cloud and on-premise assets at a major Network Operations Center, as well as assisting with various technical and engineering functions as outlined by the manager and/or supervisors.
Overview & Responsibilities
• Individual is to ensure that all broadcast and IT infrastructure related assets are tracked via exceptional record-keeping and data analytics using the suite of tools and services made available by the supervisory and management staff.
• Assist technical and engineering teams with projects as assigned by supervisor
• Assist with purchase order creations and vendor contracts
• Coordinate inventory review with stakeholders in preparation of recurring e-wasting as required at the end of physical asset lifecycle
• Coordinate logistics for outgoing shipments as required by the business
• Document detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments on a recurring basis
• Ensure completion of all administration and documentation pertaining to work carried out
• Evaluate and develop ideas for how to modernize and improve upon ViacomCBS Broadcast and Technical Support services, including legacy processes, within the broadcast and infrastructure environments
• Improve upon current workflows, or design and implement a new inventory tracking system, in order to optimize inventory control procedures
• Liaise with project teams to accept new documentation and training
• Maintenance of collaborative documentation used by the technical and engineering teams across ViacomCBS
• Participate in required inventory audits as required by the business
• Perform efficient gatekeeper duties for all physical assets transferred into and out of storeroom locations and ensure complete accuracy
• Receive shipments and perform goods receipt within financial systems
• Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to handle multiple time-sensitive assignments
Basic Qualifications
• Prefer 1 to 3 years’ experience in Information Technology or Broadcast Media environment
• AAS Electrical Engineering, AAS Computer Science or equivalent preferred
• Outstanding organizational skills with good attention to detail!
Preferred Qualification
• Ability to learn and exhibit technician-level understanding of a variety of complex broadcast proprietary and IT infrastructure environments
• Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Flexible attitude to working practices and current technology
• Knowledge of cloud-based fundamentals and current technological offerings of vendors such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of DataCenter operations
• Knowledge of incident management, change management, Configuration management databases, and ITIL terminology
• Knowledge of Network Management Systems
• Knowledge of virtual environments such as VMWare VCenter
• Must be able to lift heavy boxes (75lbs ) and operate heavy equipment (Ex. pallet jack)
• Prefer knowledge of ServiceNow or a similar ticketing system
