Senior Research Forecasting Executive (24 Month FTC)
Is this the role for you?
We’re looking for a Senior Research Forecasting Executive to join Paramount’s UK Research team on a 24-month fixed-term contract. This role sits within Forecasting & Reporting and works closely with Viewer Insight, Airtime Management, Streaming, Finance and Scheduling teams.
Forecasting plays a key role in how Paramount plans content, schedules channels and supports commercial decisions. You’ll work across our full portfolio, including linear TV, BVOD and SVOD, providing insight that helps teams understand audiences today and anticipate viewing behaviour tomorrow.
What you’ll be doing
• Produce and own long-term forecasts for selected Paramount brands, using insight from content performance, competition, seasonality, marketing activity and schedules
• Deliver clear, practical commentary on forecast changes to stakeholders across the business
• Run daily, weekly and monthly performance reports for Paramount channels and key competitors across linear TV and streaming platforms
• Support updates to the five-year streaming forecast
• Maintain and update Sky and Virgin VOD forecasts, using scheduling and digital plans to inform viewing and revenue expectations
• Develop and improve forecasting models to make them more accurate, efficient and easier to maintain
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects such as distribution modelling, ROI analysis, carrier deal renewals and EPG changes
• Build strong working relationships with teams across scheduling, finance, commissioning, streaming, airtime and insight to ensure forecasts are delivered accurately and on time
What we’re looking for
• Experience in research or forecasting, ideally within a media or content-led environment
• Techedge knowledge is highly desirable
• Strong numerical skills and confidence working with large datasets
• Advanced Excel skills and experience building or maintaining data models
• Experience with, or an interest in, dashboarding and data visualisation tools
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to manage their own workload and work independently, while collaborating effectively with others
