Overview and Responsibilities:
The Senior Partner Lead, Emerging Distribution Partnerships is a key role on a fast-growing team! This role requires strong connectivity between all internal teams, focusing collective efforts on key activities including distribution platform management and integration. This person will have the primary responsibility of driving efficient distribution of new partner platforms in the mobile, MVPD and gaming space. By uncovering unique growth opportunities and spearheading partnership operations, this role will grow our distribution footprint within new categories of partners. This role can be based out of Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY and will report to the Vice President, Distribution Partnerships.
• Lead business strategy and operations for emerging partner platforms across Pluto TV, Paramount , and other ViacomCBS properties; from assisting in deal negotiations to user growth plans to ongoing partner management.
• Serve as primary stakeholder and day-to- day relationship owner in onboarding and enhancing the success of new and current distribution partners
• Maintain direct and active relationships with our platform partners, including proactively resolving business issues and serving as an internal advocate
• Drive communication, education, data management, performance and reporting across managed partners and applicable properties
• Own all partner communications including quarterly business reviews, case studies, competitive insights and any other relevant reporting.
• Interpret data to guide strategy, evaluate partner performance and communicate insights to leadership
• Collect and gather industry research to develop business insights and recommendations to support the business strategy and operational decision making
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 7 years of business development and/or partner management experience, preferably in the OTT or mobile industry.
• Bachelors degree (MBA preferred)
• Proven experience working in digital and in negotiating OTT or mobile deals and/or content acquisition deals
Additional Qualifications:
• Exceptional partnership management skills, with a focus on aligning long term objectives between organizations
• Solid cross-functional skills with the ability to build consensus among teams (product, engineering, marketing, sales, finance)
• Ability to cultivate and build strong relationships with platform partners and industry counterparts
• Prior team management experience in a fast-paced environment
• Deep understanding of video streaming business models, both ad-supported subscription-based, and the content ecosystem
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
