Overview:
The Sr. Manager, Licensing, Toys has an opportunity to work across the entire Paramount Global portfolio with some of the most iconic properties in entertainment including but not limited to Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount, and CBS.
In this role, the Sr. Manager, Licensing, Toys will be in charge of leading aspects of and growing our licensed partnerships for specific toy categories to ensure the successful development and launch of products. They will develop quarterly revenue estimates and budgets, negotiate and implement deals with new or renewing licensees, manage and improve our existing account base, and lead product development for all products. They will drive collaboration with cross-functional partners to ensure successful development.
This is an onsite position at our Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Toys to formulate category strategies to meet and exceed our long-term brand plans and financial goals
• Identify, develop, and implement new business initiatives in the assigned categories
• Analyze, pitch, and negotiate new business deals and seek opportunities for growth across new product categories and retailers
• Drive all quarterly forecasts and business reviews with licensees. Monitor sales results to ensure revenues meet budgetary goals
• Serve as primary driver to provide support, information, and materials for licensees to improve development of new products and continued retail expansion of existing products
• Collaborate with Consumer Product business leaders to drive the category business strategies across all Paramount franchises
• Collaborate with Retail Development teams to track performance, address issues and launch strategies. Ensuring licensees are up to date on all major retail initiatives and are actively pitching products for all key seasons throughout the year
• Lead daily communication with the Global Creative Group to coordinate all product development goals; including product approvals and any rush requests
• Develop line manager responsibility for coordinator on assigned categories. Providing direction, managing workload, tasks, and career progression
• Manage day-to-day relationship with licensees including contract management and negotiations
• Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and competitive landscape to share with the wider organization and adapt key toy strategies where needed
• Maintain weekly updates with internal and external collaborators to track performance, address issues and launch strategies
• Ensure licensees deliver product lines suitable for core category & brand values
• Liaise with retail teams to ensure the line delivers against key partner requirements
• Prepare product presentations for retail development team and internal staff meetings
• Domestic & International Travel may be required
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• 7 years working in a licensing, marketing, or consumer products sales role
Additional Qualifications
• Deep knowledge of the e-commerce landscape preferred
• Goal setter to meet department objectives and develops operational plans and processes
• Line Management Experience
• Leads or contributes to complex projects and develops solutions
• Flexible and able to adapt to diverse projects and competing priorities
• Highly collaborative and effective at working with cross-functional teams
• Robust knowledge of Paramount’s brand position and retail environment
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Solid time management skills and organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

$100,000 - $130,000 /year USD
