Join our External Financial Reporting team as a Senior Analyst and play a key role in delivering accurate, high-quality SEC filings and financial disclosures for a global media leader. You’ll work on complex reporting areas like cash flows, equity, and EPS, collaborate with auditors and cross-functional teams, and assist in spearheading process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Key responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K), including drafting footnote disclosures, select MD&A sections, and compiling supporting analytics.
• Prepare and analyze consolidated statements of cash flows and stockholders’ equity
• Responsible for earnings per share calculation and share reconciliations.
• Perform detailed reviews and tie-outs for accuracy of filings, earnings releases, trending schedules, and other investor communications.
• Develop financial statement analysis and presentation materials for senior management and Audit Committee meetings.
• Document quarterly review procedures and support various P&L analyses and ad hoc requests.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls over financial reporting.
• Manage external audit relationships, including responding to requests and addressing inquiries.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of reporting systems and tools in collaboration with Controllership and IT teams.
• Utilize Workiva for SEC filings, disclosure data gathering, and XBRL review.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance environment focused on accuracy and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• CPA (or actively pursuing certification).
• Knowledge of general accounting practices and financial accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
