OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and multitasking Senior Financial Analyst to join the Paramount Global Residuals team! This position is a key member in our residuals department and will interact with various departments such as Production Finance and Business Affairs in order to facilitate the various residual payments.
Responsibilities include:
• Compare, analyze, and research information based on production and finance documents to set up shows for residual payment
• Communicate with outside payroll company to ensure proper and timely product setup
• Support audit requests for both external and internal audits
• Support manager in billing administration to ensure billbacks are comprehensively done
• Assists in monitoring monthly and quarterly payments to ensure that residual payments are made on a timely and accurate basis in accordance with various guild agreements
• Work with manager and guild representatives to resolve claims that arise
• Train and work with various analysts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 3 years of related industry experience required, preferably in residuals
• Bachelor’s degree required, a focus in Accounting, Finance, or related area preferred
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong Excel knowledge to build and maintain various analytical spreadsheets
• Prior experience with entertainment studios and/or payroll companies preferred
• Understanding of key differences between various media types, episodic, film, etc.
• Ability to interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements to the task at hand
• Familiarity with guild agreements SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA, IATSE and AFM
• Self-starter, proactive, and analytical
• Possess critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Able to multitask and ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines
• Track record of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $65,000.00 - 75,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
