Overview and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with Paramount regional daily subscriber pacing, partnering with multiple business partners globally to assess and model complex subscriber trends
• Tasked with creating and maintaining complex financial models to support the budgeting, forecasting, expense optimization, and expansion of Paramount globally
• Ownership of purchase order tracking and reporting; provide stakeholders with transparency into spending and ensure that purchase orders are raised promptly
• Expense management, forecasting, and budgeting for markets internationally, partnering with regional teams globally
• Assist Accounting in the monthly/quarterly close, which includes preparation of accruals, reconciliation, and variance analysis of forecast to actual results
• Run and analyze reports from the general ledger
• Create strategic value-added analyses around using key KPI and core business metrics to drive better decisions and results
• Coordinate on the month-end close process with cross-functional finance teams, e.g., P2P, RtR,
• Controllership Work with internal business partners, gaining insight and knowledge that could affect forecasts
• Work with Controllers, Tax, and Legal teams to establish requirements applicable to P in each region
• Ad hoc requests and analyses will be frequent.
• Ensure that the appropriate financial procedures and controls are maintained, including continuous review and improvement of working practices
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Minimum of 4 years experience in FP&A, finance, or equivalent quantitative roles
• Basic accounting knowledge
• High level of proficiency in Excel, experience in preparing complex financial models, and manipulating large datasets
• Well-developed communicator with the ability to moderate based on audience and demonstrate an ability to partner with a range of cross-functional partners
• Experience in a highly analytical environment
• Robust work ethic and an acute attention to detail are required
• Ability to work quickly and precisely on multiple projects concurrently
Additional Qualifications
• Finance/Economics/Mathematics/Accounting major preferred
• Top-notch interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
• Deep organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• Experience with P&L management and forecasting
• Prior experience in digital media, specifically in a subscription-based role, is highly desirable
