Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced, highly enthusiastic Senior Analyst in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our Cable Networks Finance team in New York City. This role reports to the Director of FP&A and supports all aspects of financial planning and analytics across the Cable portfolio of brands. The Senior Analyst will contribute to annual budgeting, long-range strategic planning, monthly forecasting, and cash planning, while also playing a key role in developing executiveâ€'level reporting and actionable insights that inform senior executive team decisionâ€'making. This position is ideal for a strategic, detailâ€'oriented problem solver who thrives in a collaborative, fastâ€'paced environment.
Responsibilties include but are not limited to:
• Support the full planning cycle, including the Annual Budget, Long-Range Plan, and Monthly Forecasting across the cable networks portfolio
• Prepare and assess monthly operating income results, cash flow, and variance analysis
• Develop and maintain financial schedules and models used for recurring and ad hoc analysis
• Lead the submission of forecast data into financial systems and models
• Contribute to developing PowerPoint presentations and dashboards for senior management, providing key insights into financial performance and metrics
• Maintain a high level of collaboration with Finance, Controllership, and cross-functional teams across the organization
• Support monthly and quarterly close processes
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate reporting, streamline workflows, and improve tracking processes to drive efficiency and scalability
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Additional Qualifications
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to synthesize, assess, and clearly contextualize data
• Strong PowerPoint capabilities
• Experience working with Oracle Financial Systems
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Proactive individual and teammate, ability to learn quickly, be adaptable to a changing industry and organizational landscape
• Entertainment or Media industry experience preferred
