OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Director, Risk Management will be responsible for working on the company's worldwide insurance programs. This person will report to and work closely with the Executive Vice President, Risk Management on strategies and methods to reduce risk and exposure while generating cost savings! They will develop strong internal relationships with Legal, Finance, and Operations personnel throughout the company to manage the day-to-day program-related queries and contract review. They will also work collectively with contacts at our brokerage firms and insurance carriers.
• Manage the annual insurance renewals for the Property, Casualty & FinPro programs
• Identify and gather worldwide exposure information
• Complete analysis of exposure information to identify potential gaps in coverage or policy limits
• Participate in renewal strategy meetings with brokers and key business partners
• Prepare market presentations and participate in underwriter meetings
• Assist with due diligence related to all M&A activity; integrate acquired companies into our insurance programs including reviewing Risk Management policies and procedures
• Review high volume of contracts including Blanket Vendors Agreements, License Agreements, Statements of Work, Real Estate Leases, and provide the Business and Legal Affairs team with guidance and expectations
• Correspond with and advise divisions on general and complex insurance queries
• Assist business units with claims and coverage issues
• Conduct seminars or training sessions on risk management practices, insurance programs, and claim processes for various business teams in the US, Europe, Latin America, Israel, and Australia
• Manage the self-insured workers’ compensation programs in New York and California
• Manage property loss control program
• Attend annual property surveys at approximately 6 - 8 domestic locations and 2 - 3 international locations
• Ensure business units have business continuity and disaster recovery plans in place
• Provide guidance to divisions with responding to engineer’s recommendations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4-year college degree
• At least 10 years of corporate risk management experience in a large, multinational company
• At least 10 years of risk management and insurance experience with a corporation or brokerage firm
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• JD or MBA, is a plus
• Strong project management skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize numerous projects
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all work situations
• Great teammate with a proactive disposition
• Ability to travel 20% - 25% (domestic and international)
• Advance to expert proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and RIMS (claims systems)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $156,800.00 - $200,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
