Overview:
We are seeking an Analytics & Insights Senior Analyst to drive the measurement and optimization of product and user experiences through advanced analytics and experimentation. In this role, you will study rich first-party datasets including event-level clickstream activity, video consumption, and subscription history. Key applications include designing and evaluating A/B tests, identifying high-value user actions, and building scalable self-service tools that enable stakeholders with performance clarity. As a forward-thinking problem solver within the Data and Insights Group, you will partner primarily with stakeholders in the Product and Engineering org to define data strategies and craft data-backed recommendations that influence the global product roadmap and growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Leverage first-party data and advanced analytics to generate actionable insights that drive product improvements and enhance user experiences.
• Apply rigorous analytical methodologies and causal inference techniques to measure the impact of product changes and uncover key performance drivers.
• Provide analytical support for experimentation, from test design to statistical evaluation. Present experimental results as clear, data-backed recommendations that influence product and growth strategies.
• Design and evolve frameworks that translate user engagement into measurable business impact, enabling opportunity sizing, goal setting, and strategic roadmap planning.
• Create and scale analytics tools and dashboards that enable teams to uncover insights and drive decisions through self-service capabilities.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Measurement Operations, and other teams throughout the organization to define data collection strategies and reporting requirements, ensuring the right data is captured to evaluate performance and guide strategy.
Key Projects:
• Analyze user navigation and content discovery patterns to optimize merchandising and UX design, ensuring smooth discovery pathways for both new and library content.
• Support the end-to-end A/B testing lifecycle – from experimental design and maintaining metric definitions to post-test deep dives that generate hypotheses for future testing.
• Analyze and monitor the performance of the purchase funnel, diagnosing changes in conversion rate and identifying possible points of friction.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-driven analytical tools into the team’s workflow to automate routine data processing and expand the breadth of complex insights delivered to stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS in a quantitative field like statistics, applied mathematics, economics, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years experience working with data and analysis.
• Ability to frame ambiguous or unstructured business problems into clearly defined requirements with minimal oversight.
• Proficient in SQL with a thorough understanding of data and systems infrastructure; experience extracting, cleaning, and transforming data within databases using SQL.
• Proactive and curious problem solver, driven to uncover patterns and performance drivers within a complex direct-to-consumer environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to adjust to a variety of audiences and tell compelling stories with data.
Additional Qualifications
• Strong background in statistics, mathematics, or economics.
• Hands-on experience working with event/clickstream data from web and mobile applications.
• Skilled in designing and analyzing A/B tests and interpreting results with statistical rigor.
• Familiarity with causal methods (propensity score matching, difference-in-differences, synthetic controls, etc.).
• Experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages.
• Experience using Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery).
• Comfortable using project management tools like those from Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence).
