Overview & Responsibilities:
CBS Sports HQ is seeking a college-centric researcher who has experience in a leadership role. Our goal is to provide our viewers with data-driven analysis, therefore the candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to bring creativity to rundowns, and build graphics in a clear and concise manner. A minimum of two years of experience in the sports industry is required.
Responsibilities
may include but are not limited to:
• Work directly with all areas of the 247Sports production team to ensure we are delivering data-driven analysis to our viewers
• Generate content for all college sports, which will be used by talent, producers, APs, PAs and the editorial team
• Produce stat-based previews on a daily basis for games taking place that day
• Build graphics and assist APs with graphic building
• Craft rundowns and assist producers with the formation of rundowns
• Create in-the-moment graphics when breaking news occurs and games end
• React to live sporting events with in-the-moment notes
• Send out story ideas to help producers craft segments
• Assist & provide constructive feedback to the AP and social media teams
• Work directly with the editorial team to train them so we are getting maximum ROI on our research tools
Basic Qualifications:
• Two years of experience working in the sports industry
• Must be self-driven with strong communication and leadership skill
• Strong passion for sports
