Enough about us! What you’ll do as a Senior Production Manager:
Take the lead in shaping some of Australia’s most iconic television moments. As Senior Production Manager at Network 10 and Paramount, you’ll oversee a diverse slate of shows - from live broadcasts to studio comedy and major franchises like Big Brother and MasterChef. This is a rare opportunity to step into a role that offers variety and exposure across multiple genres. You’ll manage budgets, talent contracts, and production timelines, all while enjoying the support and structure of a major network. If you’re ready to bring your production expertise to a role that values balance, creativity, and strategic leadership, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.
Functions will also include:
• Oversee and manage a diverse production slate, ensuring seamless coordination across internal teams including legal, creative, technical, and finance
• Deliver productions on time and within budget, maintaining accurate cost trackers, monitoring overages, and preparing quarterly cash flow reports
• Act as the primary liaison with broadcast operations, ensuring technical and operational needs are met for all assigned productions
• Manage talent contracts and production agreements, reviewing and interpreting terms, monitoring payment milestones, and supporting negotiations as required
• Proactively resolve production challenges, including logistical delays, resource conflicts, and budget constraints, while maintaining momentum and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with Paramount policies, industry regulations, and health and safety requirements, while promoting sustainability initiatives across all productions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with talent agencies, producers, network executives, and key stakeholders to foster effective communication and collaboration.
What are we looking for in a Senior Production Manager? What’s important?
• Extensive production experience (7 years) on large-scale formats within the entertainment industry, with proven expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to apply discretion and sensitivity when liaising with talent and key partners
• Proficiency in industry-standard production tools and workflows, plus strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Solid understanding of compliance and safety standards, including health, safety, welfare, and sustainability practices in production environments
• Proven ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-moving environments, making sound decisions quickly while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
• Mature, professional approach with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive relationships across internal teams and external partners.
