#PHOTOJOURNALIST/EDITOR FOR KPIX TV
Description of duties:
• Photographer/Editor duties include the shooting and editing of News stories.
• The Photographer/Editor is expected to have a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary lighting techniques and fully understand the use of professional audio equipment commonly used in ENG work.
• Being a full member of the Agile team, you will take part in all regular meetings and planning. You will work both independently and together with the other partners on assigned tasks and projects that will fit your skills and abilities. On the video operations team, you will monitor on-demand and live-streaming assets, and prioritize any issues.
• Must be acquainted with Frontline vans and ENG vans.
• Candidates must have a solid grasp of local and wide area computer networks, their components and be able to resolve issues quickly. Availability for supporting our 24x7 operation.
• Additionally, the Photojournalist/Editor must be able to monitor/perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• A positive approach to problem-solving will be necessary for success.
• Candidate must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to edit a 2-minute news package in 30 minutes or less.
• Photographer/Editor must be a self-starter and willing to generate content on all CBS platforms using all equipment at your disposal.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills and documentation skills to maintain workflows and dashboard functionality.
• The ability to produce Nat packages is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• B.A. degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
• Three to five years of Photography/Editing experience in a major market is required
• An Extensive knowledge of the Bay Area is preferred.
• At least 5 years in Live TV or a Live Streaming role, with an emphasis on live sporting events.
• Knowledge of nonlinear editing techniques, cloud-based Media Asset Management systems, audio mixing, general knowledge of legacy formats, animated graphics, etc.
• Satellite uplink truck experiences are a plus.
• Must maintain a Valid Dirver's License in good standing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Photographer/Editor will work in a variety of environmental conditions including, but not limited to intense noise, utmost temperature, weather, fumes/odors, dust, chemicals, smoke, and extreme heights.
• Showed strength in IT auditing control disciplines including a proven foundation in security and one or more similar areas of technical specialization (application development, change management, or operations)
• May be required to wear a bulletproof vest.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds of computer equipment, carry, and set-up is required
• Must be able to multi-task under pressure, lead a varied, high-volume workload efficiently and smoothly, and operate autonomously within corporate parameters.
• Must be able to work overnight and day shifts.
• A passion for industry-leading Entertainment, News, and Sports content.

Salary/Benefits
$90,000 - $102,500 /year USD
