CBS New York, the #1 station in the portfolio of Paramount-owned television stations, is looking for a standout journalist with a passion for reporting in community as well as a commanding and charismatic presence on the anchor desk.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Must be an ethical journalist with a track record of excellent news judgment
• Must be able to shoot, write and edit daily and long form content
• Willingness to adopt new workflows and technology to create engaging content
• Demonstrate a high level of skill conducting interviews
• Ability to manage and meet deadlines
• Establish sources and contacts
• Must be a communicative and collaborative team member

Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience reporting and anchoring in a large market
• Degree in journalism or a related field
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including anchoring on nights, holidays and weekends

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $100,000.00 - 160,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
