Overview and Responsibilites
The Media Specialist for Acquisitions is responsible for ensuring we have the highest quality assets to be used for both immediate and future fulfillment. They work closely with project managers, post-production, and technicians on the quality control of both video and audio assets for all current season titles. They also serve as a liaison to the fulfillment team to ensure assets are ready for distribution and meet necessary deadlines according to air schedules.
Primary Responsibilities
• Ensure QC is done accurately, meets Paramount standards and is deadline focused.
• Communicate with technicians to understand all technical issues to relay back to postproduction.
• Build normalized source materials to be used for fulfillment and archiving.
• Provide customer service to project managers and post-production.
• Generate internal work requests that direct the activity of technical, scheduling, library and billing staff members.
• Deliver materials to internal groups for Paramount
• Reconciliation of purchase orders, services, and rates
• Lead complex data spreadsheets and systems
• Follow through to ensure all production obstacles are overcome and that Paramount's goals and requirements are met
• Communicate and collaborate with internal departments
• Creatively resolve technical issues
• Escalation of any delays to manager in a timely manner
Basic Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and talents:
• 1 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry relating to one or more of the following areas â€'' metadata management, digital video and audio fulfillment, digital media quality control, project management.
• Excellent collaboration, written and verbal communication skills, Highly organized.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task under shifting deadlines within a fast-paced environment
Advanced Qualifications
• Knowledge of production and media supply chain's workflows and standard processes
• Self-motivated, teammate who is results-oriented
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel
• Understanding of Slack and SharePoint
• Understanding or willingness to learn fundamental elements of cloud-based concepts
• Experience using Mediapulse and AWS platforms is a plus.
