Overview & Responsibilities
The commercial coordinator of MDC Media Asset Services responsibilities will be centered around maintaining inventory of interstitial assets used for CBS Television Network.
These assets consist of linear network SPOT Commercials, Promotions, Billboards, PSAs and Vignettes for CBS Television Network linear, and Multi-Platform Distribution.
In addition to overseeing that the daily assets required for air are delivered and ready for air, they also maintain the scheduling database by ensuring the purging of material no longer needed, while creating the required media asset types and codes needed for current and future usage.
Role Details: Accountabilities / Duties / Key Projects (Essential Functions of the job)
• Liaisons with commercial delivery service providers to obtain assets required for air, corrections or verification.
• Manages receipt coding and delivery of all air commercials, VOD and PSA for CBS Television Network, CBS Sports, and Multi Platform Distribution.
• Maintain close communications with various Broadcast Control departments, Media Planning, CBS Network Sales, and Standards & Practices.
• Coordinates and validates the purging of outdated material no longer required for air in the on air scheduling database.
• Updates Sales Department of any issues with spots that are scheduled for air and finds an appropriate solution.
• Works closely with CBS Sports to manage inventory of Sports assets.
• Coordinate promo inventory for NCAA March Madness broadcasts.
• Scheduling PSAs.
Job Specifications (e.g., years in field, skills, knowledge, systems etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience in Broadcast media industry is desired not required.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Fine attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and under strict deadlines.
Education: (e.g., degree, certifications)
• BA degree or equivalent training and experience.
