We are looking to add a Manager, Screen Credits Administration to our Paramount Credit Administration department! We are seeking a competent candidate with experience in the preparation of theatrical/streaming screen credits and review of advertising & publicity materials. Qualified applicants must be extremely meticulous and willing to work in a fast-paced team setting. You must also have strong communication skills and be able to effectively and professionally collaborate with all levels of studio management, outside production personnel and associated guilds.
Overview and responsibilities:
• Prepare main title and paid advertising memos for studio-produced films intended for both theatrical and streaming releases.
• Assemble and review the production's end title credits for contractual and guild requirements.
• Review screen credits for co-financed pictures and acquisitions to assure compliance with guild requirements and studio policies.
• Provide marketing teams with contractual and guild-mandated credit requirements.
• Review and approve marketing materials, publicity notes, press releases and award advertisements relating to studio-produced, co-financed and acquired Pictures.
• Obtain good faith writing credits from studio executives and coordinate the final determination of writing credits with the Writers Guild of America.
• Work directly with the Motion Picture Association, the Producers Guild of America, the Writers Guild of America and the Directors Guild of America to obtain necessary ratings, waivers and approvals for each Picture.
• Closely liaise with production and studio executives for credit requests, while adhering to guild rules and company policies.
• Update the department's credit templates with current studio policies, labor requirements and industry trends.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of credits experience at a motion picture studio or major production company
Additional Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Thorough knowledge and experience with screen credit rules, procedures and trends is required
• Able to effectively work with studio and production personnel of all management levels
• Able to handle numerous projects simultaneously under limited supervision
• Meticulous proofreading skills and keen attention to detail are a must
• Must be well-organized and maintain thorough work files
• Able to work proactively and reliably in a fast-paced environment to meet strict deadlines
• Must be an analytical thinker and a skilled problem solver
• Ability to function cohesively in a team setting
• Due to exposure of confidential information, a high level of discretion in dealing with professionals inside and outside the company is imperative
