The Team
We are the Video Operations and Digital Streaming team, responsible for supporting the video delivery and architecture of VOD and Live content streamed on over 15 platforms for CBS Digital & Paramount applications and sites. We also encode and deliver premium content to millions of users every day!
What we're looking for
A motivational leader that can deliver timely production of content for domestic publishing to Paramount, CBS, and fulfillment of short-form, TV & film assets to our distribution partners.
Are you an influential, excellent communicator who can multitask and solve problems quickly? If so, this is the opportunity for you! You will work closely with internal teams to align business needs and operational requirements and lead scheduling and resources. You will also ensure that all service level agreements are achieved timely and accurately during the Overnight shift.
Day-to-day
• Facilitate progress of currently airing programs across network and streaming schedules with a focus on Network Primetime programs, Paramount Originals, and Late Night shows
• Ensure the operations team is ahead of programming schedule and communicate priority changes and new launches to internal partners
• Act as the first point of escalation for trafficking of all file sources, reconciliation of deliveries, and troubleshooting publishing bottlenecks
• Spearhead team huddles, training, and overviews as well as SOP maintenance and documentation
• Identify and initiate operational improvements
• Use and implement sign-offs in the work order system and maintain a record of daily reports
• Prioritize and solve conflicts upon consulting with managers, Tech Ops, or QA teams
Required Qualifications
• Video Production or Operations experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent training
• Working knowledge of video encoding specifications and basic understanding current OTT landscape, apps, and digital media
• Leadership - the ability to lead a team that is centered on crafting and distributing digital video products with ultra-short turnaround times.
• G Suite experience (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Slides, etc)
• Ability to work overnight hours and be available during tentpole events
Preferred Qualifications
• Adobe Premiere Editing Suites experience
• Enthusiasm and curiosity about the TV/Film/Digital Media industry
• Knowledge of MACCAPTION, Telestream/Vantage, GCP/AWS, MPX
• Familiarity with controls in a CMS tool for online publishing
