Overview:
We are the Marketing Acquisition and Campaign Solutions team (MACS), part of the Paramount Streaming Group. We serve as an internal data-driven media planning, activation, and strategy team available to all groups within the company. We work closely with the digital teams at Paramount Digital providing high level, focused strategy and support for initiatives across the company portfolio, including but not limited to Paramount Streaming (Paramount , PlutoTV). MACS also acts as a centralized hub for all matters relating to data and technology within the digital media ecosystem.
As a Media Planning Manager, you will help primarily support our streaming brands. Working closely with the Director of Media Planning, you will lead the development media plans that focus on brand awareness, consideration, and acquisition media. The ideal candidate has experience from a full funnel marketing perspective within programmatic, ctv, paid social, youtube, and paid search.
You will actively establish strategic media plans and make sound decisions based on business needs to meet critical metrics. This individual will be able to independently make informed decisions and hold themselves and others accountable to the highest standards. The Manager will apply their expertise to interact with peers and interdepartmental partners and will be the day-to-day contact related to campaign needs while being a strong verbal and written communicator. Your Day-To-Day:
Media Planning:
• Lead the development of full-funnel paid media plans and audience strategies based on brand marketing briefs to achieve KPIs while meeting internal/external timelines.
• Allocate and manage media plan budget mix across platforms.
• Create comprehensive presentation decks incorporating any visualizations to effectively outline and communicate media recommendations base of data-driven audience strategies.
• Work closely with the activation team and vendors to ensure successful execution of media plans, including negotiating media rates, securing placements, ad operations, and managing media budgets and billing.
• Present media recommendations to key partners
Campaign Management:
• Project manage campaign timelines to ensure campaigns are hitting launch timelines (for example, creative is received and to specifications, prepping and adhering to brand lift study timelines, ensuring activation teams are following strategy that is set forth, etc).
• In partnership with campaign analyst, provide campaign reporting and insights highlighting key metrics, takeaways, and suggest optimizations and recommendations for future campaigns.
• Lead cross platform budget optimizations while campaign is live
Thought Leadership and Communication:
• Effectively communicate POVs, campaign strategies, and results to internal and external partners.
• Make informed decisions independently and provide leadership and guidance in resolving complex issues and challenges related to media campaign strategy and planning, driving innovative solutions and continuous improvement.
• Cover or delegate communications and campaign management responsibilities when one of the team is out of office. This includes overseeing and managing ongoing campaigns, ensuring smooth communication with internal and external partners, and making critical decisions in the one’s absence.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and standard processes in media planning and strategy, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in campaigns.
• Implement special projects as needed across all business units.
Basic Qualifications:
• 4 years of paid digital advertising and marketing experience, preferably within entertaining/streaming
• Experience and knowledge of core principles of digital advertising capabilities across programmatic DSPs, CTV, paid social, YouTube, and Paid Search.
