Overview:
Join our External Financial Reporting team as a Manager and play a key role in delivering accurate, high-quality SEC filings and financial disclosures for a global media leader. In this role, you’ll work on complex reporting areas, collaborate across departments, and contribute to process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K).
• Prepare various footnote disclosures, including those for revenue and programming, ensuring accuracy of underlying inputs.
• Collaborate with divisional and functional teams to deliver precise and timely reporting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting regulations.
• Perform detailed reviews and tie-outs for accuracy of filings.
• Prepare financial statement analysis, materials and presentations for communications for senior management and audit committee meetings.
• Assess accounting impacts and related disclosures relating to new or complex business transactions.
• Prepare quarterly asset impairment analysis, document review procedures, and support various P&L analyses and ad hoc requests.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls over financial reporting.
• Manage external audit relationships including responding to requests and addressing inquiries.
• Support the implementation and enhancement of reporting systems and tools in collaboration with Controllership and IT teams.
• Utilize Workiva for SEC filings, disclosure data gathering, and XBRL review.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance environment focused on accuracy and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
• 6 years of relevant accountant/finance experience.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices and financial accounting standards.
Additional Qualifications
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with Workiva, Oracle, XBRL is a plus
Salary/Benefits
$120,000 - $140,000 /year USD
Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors.
