Paramount Global Facilities team is seeking a Manager, Facilities Critical Operations to help support of our state-of-the-art Paramount Cloud Computing Center (CCC) located in Hauppauge, NY.
This position will assist the Director, Facilities and Critical Operations with facility maintenance and building infrastructure operations. This is a critical 24/7 facility that will be the central location for ViacomCBS broadcast and Data center operations. The Manager will assist in coordination, implementation, and evaluate daily facilities activities. Includes the upkeep of space, maintaining critical building systems and equipment, support construction projects, and supervising building services. Work is performed independently with general supervision by Director of Facilities.
Overview and Responsibilities:
• Provide supervision and oversight to all Facilities Technicians, Maintenance, and vendor staff support in the building and ensure work is performed correctly and efficiently.
• Ensure all staff have the proper tools and training to perform their duties effectively, safely, and adhere to Paramount facilities policies and procedures.
• Implement monthly schedules for facilities maintenance staff to ensure coverage for all shifts (i.e., evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Review daily walk-through sheets of all critical building equipment submitted by Facilities Technicians and or vendors and meet daily to identify upcoming events, projects, and review issues.
• Support special projects, events, and upgrades from inception to closeout, and ensure all facilities services are being provided.
• Support quality control inspection and develop reports related to work being performed by maintenance staff as dictated by established maintenance schedules.
• Understand specific COVID-19 cleaning services being provided and align with ViacomCBS (Return to Office (RTO) plans.
• Back up contact support for building emergencies, i.e. power outages, equipment failures, weather related issues, etc. Ensure security procedures are implemented and that communications and systems are up to date. Ensure emergency response equipment is properly functioning and up to date throughout the building.
• Must have 24/7 availability and be able to get to the facility within an hour in the event of emergency/need.
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years’ experience overseeing contractors/vendors and 2 years in a leadership role is required.
• Critical facility experience and critical building systems knowledge required.
• Experience with generators, ATS, switches gear, BMS & Fire alarm systems, UPS etc. required.
• Knowledge of building and fire codes required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint), MS Project, Building Management System (BMS) required.
• Knowledge of blueprint and construction documents is necessary, including recognition of general construction, HVAC, BMS, electrical and plumbing drawings required.
Additional Qualifications:
• Prior broadcast /Data center facility experience preferred.
• Ability to conduct fire guard training course for personnel.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent follow up, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with means and methods.
