Overview and Responsibilities
Reporting to the VP, Diversity & Inclusion, the Manager, Diversity & Inclusion implements employee engagement, inclusion, communication, and learning projects aligned with the global strategy of the Office of Global Inclusion (OGI.) This individual will partner with others to embed diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) into employee engagement and learning projects. Also, this person will work with leaders and managers to build a sense of belonging, enabling employees to bring their whole selves to Paramount Global and do their best work!
• Work closely with Employee Resource Group (ERG) leadership teams, from Executive Sponsor/Champions to Co-Chairs, to provide guidance and support in order to advance their strategic plans
• Responsible for comprehensive operational support of each ERG heritage month from planning to execution to post-event summary
• Act as liaison between AV, IT and Special Events teams to implement in-person and virtual events and to ensure all virtual events are live streamed or recorded for later viewing
• Provide input into ERG programming, policies, practices, and offerings, and capture and review data to support recommendations on programs/practices to ERG and OGI leadership
• Support the development and implementation of performance measures to track, evaluate, and report on pertinent data, progress and the effectiveness of ERG efforts against strategic goals and overall strategy
• Support the engagement of ERGs by onboarding new leaders, coordinating regional council meetings with ERG leadership teams, and organizing ERG Open Houses to recruit members and volunteers
• Support Inclusion Week programs and initiatives in coordination with the ERGs
• Build relationships and liaise with key departments to amplify the work of OGI and complete DEI program and initiatives at designated West Coast offices with brands such as Paramount Pictures
• Conduct ongoing market research on the best industry standards, trends, emerging issues and solutions while identifying and recommending strategies for enhancing DEI efforts
• Identify and develop opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships with key external organizations
• Oversee ERG communications plan on the West Coast, and strategize protocols and standard processes
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• 4 years of experience, preferably in the DEI space. or project management/program coordination at large, complex department or organization with active DEI engagement
Additional Qualifications:
• Previous experience in media and entertainment settings and experience with DEI program management preferred
• Exemplary written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to exercise a high degree of accuracy, diplomacy, and confidentiality
• Highly motivated individual who can handle multiple work streams using resourcefulness and talent to proactively develop, drive, and implement projects to completion and implement processes from start to finish
• A strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, and design applications such as Photoshop
• Adaptive when it comes to the shifting landscape and culture of the enterprise
• Due to the nature of work within the Office of Global Inclusion, the candidate must also bring considerable judgment and discretion in handling complex and confidential issues
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, ability to maintain positive working relationships at all organizational levels
• Previous demonstration of dedication to the goals, objectives, and principles of diversity, equity and inclusion
