Mailroom Screener (New York, NY) — Paramount Skydance Corporation (Req#: 43730)
The Mailroom Screener services the Mailroom, Receiving, and CBS Stockroom positions. The role involves accepting large truck deliveries, sorting and distributing incoming mail and packages, maintaining accurate records, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely and secure handling of all deliveries.
This role is fully onsite at the Broadcast Center, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Receiving and verifying: Accept incoming mail and packages from postal services and couriers (UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and truck deliveries).
Sorting and distributing: Sort mail and packages by recipient, department, or floor, and deliver them to the correct individuals.
Record keeping: Maintain accurate logs and records of all incoming and outgoing mail and packages, often using computer systems for tracking.
Package handling: Ensure the secure handling and storage of sensitive documents and packages, inspecting items for damage upon receipt.
Inventory management: Manage and maintain stock of mailroom supplies.
Inter-office mail: Process and deliver inter-office mail within the organization.
Managing heavy equipment: Operate an electric floor jack and forklift.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time management skills to efficiently handle high volumes of mail and meet delivery deadlines.
Attention to detail for accurate sorting, record-keeping, and preventing errors.
Computer proficiency in mailroom equipment, data entry software, and Microsoft Outlook.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with couriers and internal staff.
Ability to handle sensitive documents and information with confidentiality.
Physical capability to stand, walk, and move heavy items (30–50 lbs) throughout the day.
Teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues.
