Overview:
The Data & Insights Group is seeking a Lead Analyst to join our Analytics & Insights team. This role will be a senior individual contributor and an expert in analysis while also managing projects across Product functions. You will also create scalable insight frameworks. These frameworks will help guide strategic decisions for our apps. The ideal candidate operates with a high degree of self-sufficiency, brings deep analytical expertise, and is equally comfortable diving into complex data problems and presenting findings to executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Analytical Leadership & Ownership
• • Manage your analytical projects from beginning to end. This includes looking at how platforms perform, how users engage with content, what devices they use, their behavior, and video advertising metrics. You will define the projects, gather data, provide insights, and present your findings to stakeholders.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of recurring insights reports and analytical frameworks, setting the standard for rigor and methodology across the team
• Independently scope, prioritize, and execute deep-dive analyses with minimal direction, proactively identifying opportunities and risks across the product and advertising landscape.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and analytical resource for cross-functional partners including Product, Marketing, and Ad Sales teams.
• Insights & Reporting
• • Drive the development and executive-level presentation of weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc performance reports, synthesizing data across multiple Analytics and BI systems into clear, actionable narratives.
• Own the creation, maintenance, and evolution of dashboards and KPI frameworks for senior and executive management, ensuring metrics remain relevant and aligned with business priorities.
• Analyze historical performance and growth trends to surface forward-looking, actionable insights – going beyond reporting to influence strategic direction.
• Establish and enforce consistent analytical methodologies and documentation standards across the team.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Mentorship
• • Act as a primary analytical point of contact for senior stakeholders, managing expectations, communicating findings clearly, and influencing decision-making through data.
• Partner with Analytics management to shape team priorities, define analytical approaches, and contribute to building a high-performing insights function.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and informal mentorship to more junior analysts on the team.
• Write and review complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data, and contribute to best practices around data quality and query performance.
Basic Qualifications
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in an analytical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or similar role, with demonstrated growth in scope and independence.
• Proven track record of owning analytical workstreams end-to-end and delivering insights that have measurably influenced business decisions.
• Deep experience in Product Analytics, including user behavior, involvement, retention, and funnel analysis in a digital or streaming environment.
• Experience in Marketing, Content, Finance or Advertising Analytics.
• Familiarity with media, online advertising, AVOD/SVOD business models, or digital ad sales processes.
• Strong executive communication skills – able to distill complex analyses into clear narratives and present confidently to senior management.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to individually frame ambiguous problems and develop analytical approaches.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex query writing, optimization, and validation across large datasets.
• Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, data-driven environment with shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional analytical engagements and manage stakeholder relationships with minimal oversight.
• Strong Excel and data visualization skills.
Additional Qualifications
• Experience with ad partner platforms such as Google Ads or Meta (Facebook/Instagram).
• Experience with MMPs or similar platforms (e.g., Kochava).
• Experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with experimentation analysis including A/B testing, difference-in-differences, or regression-based approaches.
• Exposure to data science or statistical modeling concepts (e.g., forecasting, predictive modeling) in a business analytics context.
• Experience in SVOD, AVOD, or FAST environments.
• Familiarity with Python or R for analytical workflows.
