We are now growing our team in Budapest and looking for a dedicated professional to join us as:
What you’ll do:
As the Manager of the Film Accounting team, you will be responsible for accurate and timely accounting and analysis related to Paramount’s International and Domestic Programming Accounting, while leading and developing a team of 5–8 accounting professionals.
In this role, you will:
• Supervise, coach and mentor a team of accounting specialists
• Conduct performance reviews for your direct reports
• Review and approve journal entries within assigned limits
• Ensure all relevant internal controls and SOX requirements are met
• Support external auditors with quarterly and annual audit requests
• Handle ad hoc requests from Paramount leadership and internal partners
• You will also oversee the team’s delivery of the following:
• Monthly capitalization entries for titles entering their license window
• Monthly amortization for programming assets
• Preparation and posting of journal entries
• Disposals, impairments and write-offs of programming assets
• Monthly account reconciliations for programming assets and obligations
• Roll forward schedules and financial statement support
• Monthly intercompany cost transfers and asset reconciliations
• Confirmation and reconciliation of intercompany balances
• Resolution of intercompany out-of-balances
• Monthly metrics and commentary for senior leadership
• Maintenance of commitments and contingencies schedules
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Leadership experience or strong aspiration to lead
• Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
• Strong prioritization and workload management abilities
• Proactive, self-driven professional with strong follow-through
• Fluent English communication skills (oral, written, listening)
• CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification is a plus
• Experience in the entertainment or media industry is an advantage
