This is a Full Time Job
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the EVP of Global Marketing, Strategy & Insights, and the Marketing Research Department, including the heads of Domestic and International Research. In addition, the position will allow for the opportunities to learn about the field of movie marketing and marketing research and strategy, and the opportunity to work on entry level marketing research work.
Working in the Research and Strategy department provides a spectacular understanding of the movie lifecycle from pre-greenlight to release, impacting and shaping both the film itself and how it is marketed. People who have held this position have gone on to hold positions in a wide range of movie marketing disciplines, from Research to Creative Advertising to Publicity, with a few ultimately running marketing departments.
Responsibilities
to include, but not limited to:
• Maintains the overall department calendar and that of the Executive Vice President, scheduling key meetings for senior department members, specifically the heads of Domestic and International Research
• Schedules meetings with International Paramount offices, understanding global time zones and organizing meetings and return calls accordingly
• Compiles and maintains folders and documents of relevant materials for meetings and understands the calendar to anticipate what will be needed
• Arranges travel plans and itineraries, for the EVP compiles documents for travel-related meetings
• Composes and prepares confidential correspondence, reports, and other documents such as expense reports for the EVP and VP.
• Performs additional administrative duties such as ordering meals, preparing gate passes to ensure visitors are granted access as needed, maintaining phone logs as needed
• Willing and able to pitch in with basic review of research material, databases and spreadsheets
• Maintains high levels of discretion when dealing with confidential research documents, reports, meetings and expenses
• Assists in the development of deliverables/presentations for various departments within the studio
• Can assist in basic desk research for online inquiries
• Answers and screens phone calls and email, taking action when appropriate and following up as needed
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree
• 1 years of related experience
Additional Qualifications:
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiar with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures
• Has an interest in movies and movie marketing and curiosity about movie research
• Strong multi-tasker with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• Comfortable with numbers and excel spreadsheets, accurate and detail oriented
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with staff, other administrators, internal and external customers and senior management
• Organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple high priorities
• Preferably has previous experience on a high volume desk in the entertainment business
