The Audience Impact & Intelligence team are a specialized group of strategists and researchers who power advertising sales with audience-forward, culturally fluent insights for the ever-changing media ecosystem. We inspire our sales teams with deep audience understanding, strategic insights and data clout for their clients. Our group is charged with making the consumer connection with Paramount’s many varied audiences across all platforms by providing expertise in generational and life stage segments. We specialize in studies, surveys, data sets and metrics that help internal and external clients further their knowledge of targets, engagement, consumerism, ad efficiency and culture.

Reporting to the VP of the Audience Impact and Intelligence team, the Director will oversee all social intelligence research for our team. They will oversee listening analyses that unearth insights about different audiences and the cultural context in which they exist. This person will live and breathe social media and will have a highly developed understanding of the ever-shifting social and digital landscape. They are excited by the potential of new social listening methodologies; they have embraced digital and social intelligence tools, and they believe in marrying data with creativity to tell a story.
None of your days will be the same, and projects and team needs are always changing. The optimal Director will possess a deep desire to think of creative ways to leverage data and to tell a story. Day-to-day responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Lead a team of social intelligence experts dedicated to leveraging social listening tools to measure, report and stay ahead of cultural moments and trends
• Help develop our social intelligence capabilities so that it becomes a sought after skill within our research org to inform creative strategy, audience insights requests and thought leadership studies and reports
• Assess vendor partnerships along with their offerings and introduce new, innovative measurement and insights solutions to keep Paramount at the forefront of social media innovation
• Possess strong data proficiency and understanding of media measurement across platforms with a focus on social measurement
• Effectively manage, motivate, and inspire staff to increase their potential and growth
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 6 years' experience in social media or digital research with strong measurement proficiency
• Deep understanding of social listening tools (Talkwalker, ListenFirst, Tubular, Canvs, etc.), capabilities, and creative approaches to leveraging their data
• Vendor management experience required; strong vendor relationships a plus
• Proficiency in working with a wide variety of third-party vendors and capabilities
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Passion for identifying areas of data innovation and change
• Strong wordsmith and storyteller with excellent client service and support skills
• Excellent communication with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to lead and work collaboratively to share ideas
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to anticipate and solve problems
• A curiosity about developing internal team infrastructure, such as analyses, research, presentation materials, project management tools, etc.
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail, ability to work and lead under pressure and multitask
