OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Domestic FP&A is a highly skilled financial professional and key member of the Paramount Finance team. In this role, the Director helps lead the budgeting and forecasting for Domestic Home Entertainment business unit alongside the VP, Domestic FP&A. The Director plays a critical role in overseeing performance analysis, financial strategy development, and financial modeling while ensuring the accuracy and consistency of reporting systems. The Director interacts and collaborates with all departments within the Home Entertainment group as well as IT and Accounting, displaying strong project management skills and effective communication. The Director has a combination of strong financial acumen, technical expertise and outstanding organization skills and is instrumental in supporting senior management with ongoing and ad-hoc financial insights.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Assist the VP, Domestic FP&A in handling the creation of the annual budgets, quarterly estimates, monthly updates and business plans for the home entertainment transactional business
• Act as second in command for the department when the VP is absent
• Reconcile quarterly forecasts to ensure alignment with submissions held by the Corporate Finance team
• Oversee the analysis of monthly and quarterly performance to plan
• Work closely with the Accounting team regarding monthly and quarterly close and reporting
• Research and investigate variances to financial plan to gain an understanding of the causes and impacts to revised forecast/monthly submission
• Develop financial models and analysis to determine financial strategy and profitability for key business segments
• Oversee quarterly ultimate updates and submissions
• Ensure the Hyperion system is run smoothly, accurately and up to date; coordination with IT on improvements when needed
• Automate, and improve the existing applications that are being used
• Perform on-going reporting and analytical projects as well as on an ad-hoc basis as requested by Senior Management
• Able to perform other special projects when needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA strongly preferred
• 10 years of financial planning and/or accounting experience
• Advanced Excel skills required; experience with VBA / Macros a plus
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Hyperion Essbase / SmartView and SAP experience preferred
• Tableau or other Dashboard/Visualization software preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent oral / written communication skills are required
• Ability to research thoroughly and present accurate information precisely and confidently
• Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills with sound judgment and decision-making ability
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and complex business
• Team-player with a proven ability to operate in a cross-functional team environment
• Actively seeks diverse views and fosters an inclusive team environment
• Background in entertainment or media industry preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $124,000.00 - 150,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
