CBS Sacramento, the innovation leader in the market, is seeking a dynamic Creative Producer who is passionate about storytelling and energized by creating standout content for both social media and linear promotion. As CBS Sacramento launches its groundbreaking AR/VR newscast, this role will help shape how that next-generation experience is brought to life across every platform. This role calls for a bold, curious thinker who thrives at the intersection of digital and broadcast–crafting multi-platform content that engages audiences. Creativity and curiosity will fuel the development of attention-grabbing promos and platform-native content that not only inform but inspire viewers wherever they watch.
OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with Director of Brand Strategy and team to conceptualize and execute effective and creative marketing efforts for commercial and station priorities.
• Create, develop and refine compelling concepts and creative direction for a wide range of short form and longer form video content, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and target audience.
• Manage the entire video production process, from pre-production (concept development, scripting, music considerations) through production (shooting coordination, clearances) to post-production (editing, visual effects, approvals and final delivery).
• Tailor content for different platforms, optimizing for engagement and platform-specific requirements (e.g., social media, YouTube, streaming).
• Write/produce/shoot/edit commercials, promos, and other initiatives as needed.
• Provide shooting and editing services for station commercial and creative efforts.
• Maintain a steady flow of content to promote the station marketing initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven work experience as a writer/producer in the TV-News and/or Entertainment industry.
• Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects, etc.) with an eye for pacing, visual storytelling, and sound design.
• Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience in all aspects of video production including shooting, lighting, sound recording and editing, and ability to operate all associated equipment.
• Understanding of brand marketing and creative technique.
• An ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
