Associate News Producer

This is a Full Time Job

OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee will assist in the preparation and production of CBS13 and Good Day Sacramento Newscasts.

Duties include:
• Assisting producers with building rundowns and show formats.
• Writing for broadcast.
• Coordinating graphics and video elements.
• Supporting breaking news coverage with urgency and strong editorial judgment.
• Collaborating closely with anchors, reporters, photographers, and assignment desk staff.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Individual must be able to work flexible hours and overtime, including early mornings and weekends. Other duties as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
• Television production experience and/or a college degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred but not required.
